About

My approach to Therapy

Many of my clients are self-sufficient, knowing how to maintain stability and externally appear "put together". Internally, they may feel lonely, resentful, or worn down by repeated patterns that they want to change. Many are high-achieving, may be perfectionistic, deeply reflective or sensitive, and often worn down by cycles they feel stuck in. Experiences may include: - Neurodiversity - Overwhelm, overthinking - Difficulty setting limits or identifying their limits - Low mood, fatigue - Anger/irritability/emotional dysregulation -Sensory processing sensitivities or executive functioning struggles -Relationship issues (with partners, family, or at work) -A major transition that’s stirred up old patterns like parenthood, career shift, relationship status change, My role as a therapist is to build a safe space with you to see yourself more clearly — including the parts you’ve learned to mask, over-function through, or keep out of view to survive. I use a psychodynamic lens to explore the deeper emotional and relational patterns that often begin in early life but show up in present-day symptoms. When helpful, we’ll also integrate practical tools and trauma-informed strategies. I bring over a decade of clinical experience and advanced training in: +Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) +Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) +Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) + Gottman Method Couples Therapy +Mindfulness and Self-Compassion practices My style is warm, playful, and direct. We’ll move at your pace — honoring your goals, your nervous system, and your story. When it supports your goals, I also value coordinated care. I’m happy to collaborate with your broader treatment team — including functional medicine providers, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, or other specialists — to support a more holistic experience of healing. Prior to beginning my career as a therapist, I worked as a licensed social worker in medical, school, and sport based settings with children, adolescents, and adults. I hold lived experience as an AuDHD latinx female and exist in a neurospicy household with my husband of almost 15 years and three school age children. They are my greatest teachers and keep me honest and open to continued growth in my professional and personal life. I continue to remain active and passionate as a life long athlete and a leader and coach in the competitive youth soccer community for female and male athletes. 🌈 LGBTQIA+ afffirming, trauma trained and informed, Neuroinclusive, and culturally responsive ➡️ What Happens Next? If you're curious about working together, reach out for a free 15 min consultation or send a message to ask questions. After connecting, we’ll schedule an intake session, explore what’s bringing you in, and co-create a plan for your care — at a pace that feels supportive and doable. For most of my clients this means at a weekly or biweekly cadence. Just know, you don’t need to have it all figured out. We’ll take it one step at a time.
